They came with an empty water bottle, but left with a haversack of stolen cash.
It happened at around 17.30 hrs yesterday when two men posing as customers carried out a brazen robbery at Ultra Waters on Camp Street. The robbery took place minutes before the workers received their salaries.
The entire ordeal which was captured on CCTV footage lasted for about five minutes.
The footage shows two males crossing Camp Street, with one carrying a water bottle.
One of the armed men then entered the store while his accomplice remained in the compound.
After about two minutes the robber went to the office of the manager, who was speaking to a worker.
He then put a gun to the manager’s head before dragging his victim to the floor and gun-butting him. After ordering the worker to hand over his haversack, the intruder took out an undisclosed sum of cash from a desk drawer and placed the loot in the haversack.
His accomplice then entered and searched the worker’s pockets before instructing him to lie on the floor.
The bandits then calmly exited the store and entered a dark blue heavily tinted Premio that was parked a few feet away from where the robbery took place.
