A hat-trick performance from Keenan Harper guided Rising Stars to a comfortable 5-0 win over Lazio when play in the GFF/Pele Alumini Frank Watson U15 Intra Association League continued at the Bartica Secondary School Ground on Saturday last.
The other match of the day which opened proceedings saw Beacons and Potaro Strikers battling to a 2-2 stalemate, Beacons’ Captain Kareem Caesar netting both for his team in the 40th and 45th minutes.
Potaro Strikers had taken the lead on account of Jeremiah Peters’ 20th minute goal; their second came off the boot of Joshua Jones in the 42nd minute.
In the day’s main attraction, starring for Rising Stars was Keenan Harper who rocked the back of the nets in the 3rd, 41st and 57th minutes to set up a solid win. Inking their names on the score sheets also was Ian Gomes who opened the scoring in the 6th minute and Ashton Dutchin who emulated him in the 13th minute.
Matches would continue on Saturday at the same venue.
