Police defeated Malteenoes Sports Club (MSC) by an innings and 65 runs when the latest action in the Georgetown Cricket Association Noble House Sea Foods second division two-day tournament concluded on Sunday last at Eve Leary.
Batting first, MSC were bowled out for 99 with Nickose Barker scoring 35. Hemchand Persaud bagged 7-30. Police responded with 244-8. Mark Gonsalves struck 73, while C. Kendall made 56 and Vishal Jaigobin 28. Marcus Watkins captured 4-83 and Kim Carmichael 2-34. Trailing by 145, MSC were sent packing for 80 with Barker again being the top scorer with 40. Eon Rodrigues grabbed 5-28 and Persaud 4-10.
