The Milo/Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) Schools’ Under-18 football tournament continued yesterday at the Ministry of Education (MOE) ground on CARIFESTA Avenue with triple header. All the teams registered big wins with Bishops’ High School enjoying the largest victory after handing School of the Nations a hefty 9-0 thrashing.
Bishops’ High’s Jeremiah Joseph lead the charge with a hat-trick after netting in the 36th, 57th and 66th minutes and he was supported well by Lamar Williams who scored a brace. Brandon Walters, Darren Chan, Owen Jones and Romeo Bradford all scored once in the fantastic win.
In the opening fixture, Chase Academic Foundation ended the unbeaten streak of Annandale with a 4-0 drubbing. Jeremy Garrett, Rashawn Rich, Randel Peters and Nicholas McArthur were the scorers for the three-time defending champions.
The feature game witnessed Sir Leon Lessons flailing St. Rose’s High 5-0. Five different players got on the score sheet for the winners; Zian Grey (19th), Julian Bamfield (49th), Luckort Forde (45th), Teon Forde (59th) and Ryan Ramsey in the 59th minute.
Today’s play will see Uitvlugt Secondary matching skills with Cummings Lodge in the first game that kicks off at 12:00hrs, then Linden based Christianburg Wismar Secondary School will oppose Ann’s Grove Secondary with the feature match being contested between Morgan’s Learning Centre and Pure Masters Academy.
