Beharry Automotive Limited has partnered with the Lusignan Golf Club for the staging of the Yokohama Classic which is set to tee off on Saturday from 12:30hrs.
The partnership was announced yesterday at Beharry Automotive Limited, Charlotte Street, Georgetown where Marketing Officer of the entity Ulex Smith presented the cheque to LGC president Aleem Hussain.
Smith stated they are happy to be associated with the LGC for the staging of the tournament and said they looking forward to a successful one. She added that this is the beginning of an exciting partnership and urged the fans to come out and support the competition.
Hussain expressed gratitude to the entity and said he is looking forward to their continued support. He added that anyone who hits a hole-in-one wins four Yokohama tyres, adding that this is the beginning of a long term and fruitful relationship. Hussain pointed out that he is excited that the LGC is more inclusive of females and newcomers.
Additionally, the LGC will be hosting a bar-be-cue and green lime on Sunday starting at 09:00hrs where over $100,000 in prizes will be up for grabs.
Among other tournaments slated for this year are an invitational celebrity competition, which will be hosted by former West Indies test batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul as well as the Lusignan Open.
The LGC has undergone tremendous changes and they are in the process of installing a swimming pool at the facility. (Zaheer Mohamed)
