Dear Editor,
Mrs. Heyva Yazdan-Mahdiabadi , a Baha’i music teacher, living in Yazd,Iran, was arrested in late November. An informed source said she was arrested for teaching music to children. She was at first held incommunicado by the Ministry of Intelligence, and a few days ago was transferred to the central prison in Yazd, where – after the usual quarantine period – she was allowed to use the telephone to contact her family.
Iranian authorities continue blatant and fanatical persecution of Baha’is in Iran the birthplace of the Baha’i faith.
