Pursuant to article 15 of the Constitution of the Guyana Cricket Umpires Council (GCUC), the Biennial General Meeting of the GCUC will be held on Sunday February 11th 2018 from 10:00hrs at the Union Hall, Woolford Avenue. Secretaries of the respective associations are asked to be reminded that notice of motions or resolutions shall be sent in writing to the Hon Secretary Nigel Duguid not later than twenty eight days before the fixed date of the BGM.
Additionally, not earlier than two months and not later than one month before the date for the BGM members of the Council may make nominations for the following offices; President, Vice President, Hon Secretary, Hon Treasurer, Hon Assistant Secretary/ Treasurer, Public Relations Officer and four other Management Committee Members.
The agenda reads as follows; Prayers, Minutes of OGM in between BGM, Matters arising from the Minutes, Correspondences, Secretary’s Report, Treasurer’s Report, Report from Sub – Committees, Reports from Sub- Associations, President’s Remarks, Presentation of Certificates, Any other Business and Election of Office Bearers.
The absence of a nominated person at the time of election shall not disqualify him /her from the election provided he / she has forwarded to the Hon Secretary in writing his /her consent to accept office if elected.
The Hon Secretary shall be notified as to the names of the representatives of each cricket umpiring body recognised by the Council prior to the Commencement of the General Meeting.
