Justice Simone Morris-Ramlall will today sum up the evidence in the trial of Ewart Cobis, called ‘Short Man’ who is charged with the murder of Ronaldo Joseph, called ‘Long Hair’.
It occurred in Essequibo.
At his arraignment last week Thursday, Cobis pleaded not guilty to the indictment before a mixed 12-member jury at the High Court in Georgetown. He is being represented by Attorney-at-Law Mark Conway.
During the trial, the state which is being represented by Prosecutor Seeta Bissundial, called some five witnesses. When the trial continued on Tuesday, both the prosecutor and Cobis’ attorney presented closing arguments.
