Nations University was earlier this month the recipient of the 2017 Award for Educational Development in the Caribbean. The award is one that is offered by the Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professionals (SMRP: Trinidad chapter). Moreover, it was during its Awards Dinner in Trinidad on October 6, 2017 that Dr and Mrs O’Toole were invited to receive the auspicious award.
The other agencies recognised at the awards ceremony were: Mr. Ravi Haraksingh of Reliability Engineers; the Chairman’s Award to Bissundath Gokool;, the Logistical Services Ward to RAMP’s Logistics from Trinidad, the Leadership Award to Mr. Rudolph Elias of Staatsolie in Suriname.
Delivering the feature address at the forum was Kevin Ramnarine, Former Senator and Minister of Energy and Energy Affairs in Trinidad and Tobago.
The awards ceremony was organised by Kuarlal Rampersaud, Vice President of Keeter Sutherland Ltd. in collaboration with the SMRP programme in Houston, USA. SMRP was represented by its International Director, Mr Jeff Shivers who flew in from USA just for the function.
The awards ceremony was also an opportunity for the SMRP programme to share certificates for participants on their Certified Training Instructor programme and their CMRP Certification programme.
