Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) and Transport Sports Club (TSC) registered victories when the
Well Teen, Trophy Stall, Tropical Springs and Nauth Motor Spares Under-13 25-over competition continued recently at Everest Cricket ground.
GCC defeated Everest by 88 runs. GCC batted first and posted 181-5. Sanjay Persaud struck 65 while Rivaldo Phillips made 26 and Yohance Angoy 13. Extras contributed a healthy 70 as Yogesh Persaud picked up 2-37, Jagdesh Dowlataram 1-31 and Varun Mangal 1-43.
Everest were limited to 93-5 in reply. Extras assisted with 57; Aryan Persaud, Melenik Halley and Darius Andrews had one wicket each. Transports SC beat GCC by seven wickets. GCC took first strike and posted 97-9. Yohance Angoy got 19 and Darius Andrews 12; extras chipped in with 40 as Fidel Collins snared 3-18, Rudernauth Kissoon 2-16, Dave Mohabir 1-7 and Shafiek Khan 1-12.
In reply, Transport SC scored 98-3 in 19.1 overs including 40 extras. Shemar Yearwood struck 28 not out. Melenik Halley had 2-10 and Angoy 1-18.
