Dear Editor,
Kindly permit me a few lines in your newsletter column to reach out to the Honorable President Mr. David Granger, Minister of Business and Officials from the Rupununi Chamber of Commerce.
It was with great joy that I received the news and found it to be true that Business Registrations have begun in Region 9.In the past years we voiced our concern to the previous government to facilitate this service in the Region. Our calls for this service fell on deft ears and we were exploited in the past by persons of that party by paying up to twenty thousand dollars just to receive these Certificates. Another measure was to travel to Charity. This was expensive to do as a small business lady.
I did training where the First Lady attended at the Indigenous Conference Hall, Lethem. This matter was raised and she promised to look into the matter. These are some of the development we appreciate. So on behalf of my Indigenous brothers and sisters and all business persons of Region 9 we would like to thank the above persons for listening to our voices. In this way we can move forward.
