GT Beer Keep Your 5 Alive KO Futsal Tourney
While fans for either finalist in tonight’s final of the Keep Your Five Alive KO Futsal tournament, Future Stars and West Front Road-Gold is Money would be focused on sending the right energy to their side, they are all in for a treat before the main event at the National Gymnasium.
Organisers of this tournament has pulled out the stops to serve up what is anticipated to be six mouthwatering exhibition matches that will be sure to entertain the fans.
The main supporting clashes though, will showcase non-football players who are more known for their exploits on the dominos table.
The teams met earlier in the tournament and have earned re-matches; Spartans will be matching skills with Goal for Money, while Mix-Up will take on Thunder.
Another grudge affair pits Customs against Wartsila; Broad Street will battle Channel 9, Back Circle come up against Sophia, while Sparta Boss will tangle with North Ruimveldt.
Sparta will be seeking to show that despite failing to make it to the finals of this and the Guinness Greatest of the Streets competitions, they have not lost their shine, the likes of Gregory ‘Jackie Chan’ Richardson, Devon ‘Don Don’ Millington and Eusi ‘Bony’ Phillips among others on show.
In the championship match tonight, a total of $750,000 is up for the taking with the champion team walking away with $500,000.
This is the real business end of the tournament and neither finalist, Future Stars or West Front Road-Gold is Money can afford to slip up.
Both sides have both done lots of work in charting their way this far and are gearing up to do it again, Keep their Five Alive.
While crowning of a champion is sure, equally certain is the fact that one of the two will be disappointed at the end of proceedings.
That team will however be receiving, $250,000. Kick off time is 20:00hrs.
