An intelligence-led operation conducted by ranks of the Guyana Police Force on Wednesday at Ten Miles Backdam, Ituni, Upper Demerara River, has resulted in the destruction of a four-acre cannabis cultivation which had in excess of five thousand plants measuring from four inches to four feet.
According to the police, there were also several nurseries with an estimated four thousand seedlings; a large quantity of dried cannabis and three makeshift camps.
No arrests were made.
