The king of fitness in Guyana, Dillon Mahadeo, back to back (2016/2017) of E-Networks Fitness Challenge and a bronze medalist at the inaugural at the inaugural CrossFit 12-12-12 Throw Down in Trinidad and Tobago
in 2016, Dillon Mahadeo will spearhead Guyana’s 4-member team to this weekend’s 4th annual Barbados IslandFit Games 2017.
Mahadeo along with Christian McRae, Jamie McDonald and Team Manager Ms. Angelina DeAbreu will be aiming to shine for the Golden Arrowhead at the two day event which will take place at Divi SouthWinds Beach Resort in the land of the Flying Fish where 2017 has been dubbed the ‘Year of Sports’.
This will be the first time Guyana will be fielding a team at this competition and the second time this nation will be competing at a regional event following last year’s successful showing in the Twin Island Republic.
Fitness Express has been supporting the athletes with supplements during their preparations for this weekend’s event which will attract the best athletes in this segment of the sport to Barbados.
Kaieteur Sports understands that there will be a total of six (6) workouts in total with the top ten (10) competitors making it into the final day where two more events will decide the winner.
