A dashing 110 from Raymond Perez laced with 11 fours and an attacking 52 from Renaldo Ali Mohamed, which included four fours and two sixes, spearheaded Georgetown to a crushing 126-run win against West Demerara yesterday at Everest in the Inter Association 50-over U-19 cricket competition.
The City side rattled up 241-8 off their 50 overs as Mark Jeffers (3-36) and National youth player Richi Looknauth (3-40) did the damage with the ball for the lads from the West side.
West Demerara, led by Skipper Looknauth’s unbeaten 35, could only manage 115 all out in 32.1 overs. Mohamed returned with the ball to finish a great day at the office with 6-25 and got support off-spinner Dwayne Dick who had two wickets.
