The Guyana Defence Force recently approved the promotion of a number of officers.
The lone female, Captain Notoya Fraser, who is the Force’s only female doctor, has been promoted to the rank of Major. Also promoted to rank of Major are Captains Harold Fraser, Thakur Nandlall and Gordon Nedd.
Substantive Lieutenant Colonel Lloyd Souvenir of the Training Corps, was promoted from the rank of Major.
Officer, Major Delbert George was promoted to the rank of Substantive Lieutenant Colonel.
Three acting Majors were made substantive in their rank.
Meanwhile nine Captains were made substantive in their rank and three Substantive Lieutenants were promoted to the rank of Captain.
Five Second Lieutenants were made substantive in their rank.
