Suresh Boodhoo struck fine unbeaten half century to guide Transport SC to a six-wicket
victory over GNIC SC while Everest defeated Guyana Defence Force by eight wickets when the Georgetown Cricket Association Carib Beer first division T20 tournament continued yesterday.
Boodhoo slammed three fours and four sixes in a top score of 59 as TSC successfully chased 172, ending on 174-4 in 19.3 overs. Ryan Hemraj hit two fours and three sixes in scoring 42 at the top of the order while Sunil Singh and Oslyn Batson made 19 each. Gajanand Suknanan took 2-21.
Earlier, Ryan Shun cracked six fours and four sixes in a robust 59 to lead GNIC SC batting. Quincy Ovid Richardson made 34 (1×4, 3×6), while Dwayne Dick made 21 (3×4), David Dick 19 and Suknanan 13. Raphael Singh had 3-18 for TSC.
At Everest, GDF were bowled out for 69 in 16.5 overs batting first. Randy Lindore made 19 and Jeremiah Harris 17 not out. Saheed Mohamed claimed 3-12, Kevin Paul 3-17 and Ashkaya Persaud 2-5. Everest responded with 70-2 in 9.1 overs. Troy Gonsalves slammed five fours and one six in an unbeaten 40 off 25 balls while Khemraj Ramdeen made 22 (3×4). (Zaheer Mohamed)
