Dear Editor,
I attend a high school on the East Coast of Demerara and I reside in Enterprise. My letter is to apprise GTT of the suffering and the inconvenience we are facing with their so-called high speed Internet. I am from a single parent and it is difficult for my mom to pay $5999.00 per month for speed of 1.5 mb and only receive 0.09 to 0.10 mb from 6.00 pm onwards.
Tell me please GTT, it is not that around that we study and need the internet. I called 0488 and was advised to take the higher speed but it is already too costly to pay for the one I have. Also I was advised to spend more time in the day utilizing the Internet because it is faster in the day. My Good God, I pray – after 50 years of independence what progress have we achieved?
I was in Barbados and the speed there is lighting fast any time of the day and night. Also we pay the highest cost for internet in Guyana than the rest of Caricom. Is that progress? Can my mom be refunded for the time I am unable to use the internet because the page cannot be opened? Can GTT tell us the Guyanese people when will the speed we are paying for be delivered. Can the PUC help us? I would like to know who can help us or who should we approach for this urgent matter to resolved speedily.
Lalita Narine
Please share this to every Guyanese including your house cats.
