The Patron, Management and the entire membership of the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club, MS, is expressing congratulations to the Under-17 Cricket Team of the Lower Corentyne Secondary School on winning the National Secondary School Cricket Tournament to become National Champion. In a release the club said it is a remarkable achievement and all at the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club, MS, are very proud of the team.
‘The victory is very special to us at Guyana’s leading youth and sports club due to the fact that nine of the Lower Corentyne Secondary School players are products of our highly successful and productive youth development programme. The players – Kevlon Anderson, Junior Sinclair, Kristoff Williams, Haresh Fernandes, Chad Munroe, Rudradev Ramoutar, Justin Gobin, Joshua Wilson and Neil Tillaram are proud members of the Club along with Jason Sinclair and Simon Naidu who were part of the team’s Management.
Special congrats to Anderson who led the team with his visionary leadership and most importantly by example on and off the cricket field. Justin Gobin for his important innings in the finals, Junior Sinclair for his allround brilliance throughout the Tournament, Anderson for being the Best Batsman and Williams for his bowling efforts in the finals deserved special mention. We would also like to applaud the hard work and dedication of Manager Fyzal Moses who was a role model to all of his players and who inspired them to perform to the highest possible standard.’
The Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club, MS, would like to commit itself to not only assisting the school in the future as we have always done but to continuing to provide players of the highest caliber. We would be honouring the team at our 27th Annual Awards Ceremony which would be held on the 23rd April, 2017. Each player would receive a championship souvenir while the team would also collect a championship trophy.
