Lower Corentyne defeated West Demerara to win the final of the Guyana Cricket Board inter
secondary schools tournament which was contested on Friday at Bourda.
Batting first, West Demerara were bowled out for 107 in 44.5 overs. Nicholas Holder and Christopher Gurdyal made 21 each while Dev Seepersaud got 18 and Kemar Ferreira 16. Kristoff Williams had 4-2, Junior Sinclair 3-14 and Joshua Wilson 2-18.
Lower Corentyne responded with 108-6 in 29 overs. Man-of-the-match Kevlon Anderson hit 44 and Sinclair 20.
