Life Gym’s Rudolph Blackman emerged as the winner of the Guyana Amateur Powerlifting Federation (GAPF) Novelty Bench Press competition which formed part of the association’s first fund raising activity for the year yesterday at the Fitness Revolution Gym, LBI, East Coast Demerara.
Blackman’s performance outdid that of Space Gym’s ‘Big’ John Edwards who had to settle for the runner-up position while third place went to Martin Pertab.
The event saw a number of fellow athletes and fans turning out to support the federation’s bar-b-que along with one of the sponsors, Mr. Jetto of Wild Caught Fishery Depot who said he was happy to support the event and will continue to lend support to the body.
Other sponsors on board were Bounty Farm Ltd, Fitness Express, Buddy’s Gym and Fit Rev. Gym.
