Dear Editor,
Hello Mr. President! Can you tell me where is the fight for the honourable people of Guyana whom you preside over? The same people whom you cried for in your messages before you took office. You told the people you will defend their rights and fight for what belongs to them. Free and fair in contracts and a total revamp of the procurement system that the PPP destroyed. Restore what was taken away from us.
Well Mr. President, you’re displaying a degree of amnesia. You gave us an impotent Prime Minister, a selected incompetent crew to clean up Georgetown, when they can’t clean their own yard. Look at Georgetown. Is it clean? No, but they bring parking meters before attending to the needs of the people. They look at their own needs. A corrupt contract that only benefits a select few – Green, King, Cush the list goes on. Yes, you kept silent because you know the height of corruption that exists within it. Yet, you said nothing to the same people who voted you in.
Georgetown needs working traffic lights, clean water, better drainage systems, a few parks etc. Instead they are going for Parking Meters. Is it fair to the people of such a poor country? Will the above listed names be held accountable for their actions if and when it is proven to be an act of CORRUPTION, and be faced with the full force of the justice system? I leave with you these words; “WAKE UP AND BE AN HONARABLE PRESIDENT.”
