Bounty Colts and Eagles won their respective games in the Under-23 category Wednesday night when the Georgetown Amateur Basketball Association (GABA) ‘League of Champions’ continued at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.
Colts defeated University of Guyana Trojans 64-46 with forward Jamal Gilkes scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and Andrew David putting up 10 points and 13 rebounds. Daniel Ramlagan and Jonathan Mangra had six points apiece for Colts as well.
Sherland Gillis had a double-double for UG with 13 points and 13 rebounds as Jonathan Browne added 11 points. Kadeem Peterkin, who has been one of the leading scorers for UG throughout the competition, scored just seven points.
Eagles then blew out Pacesetters 72-46 with Patrice Agrippa scoring 16 points and Darrol Williams 14 points and nine rebounds. Travis Belgrave added 13 points and 17 rebounds, while Kheon Evans had eight points.
For Pacesetters, Marvin Durant scored 12 points with nine rebounds and Kheon Marks 10 points and 15 rebounds for a double-double. Quincy Dos Santos scored nine points.
