The New Entertainment/Eyefull Entertainment, Stag Beer Futsal Clash of the Champions is set to be played next weekend, Saturday February 11 and the following Saturday February 18.
The Guyana Football Federation (GFF) approved event will see four official games as well as two exhibition games on each night with the two official teams battling for the championship playing each other on both nights.
The two teams in action for championship honours are Dave and Celena’s Hustlers who won the Mohamed’s Enterprise New Era Entertainment Cell Smart Futsal tournament in Linden and Sparta Boss who are the Guinness Greatness of the Streets Georgetown champs.
Next Saturday’s action is billed for the National Gymnasium on Mandela Avenue with Bent Street going up against Tucville in the first match followed by Gold is Money facing Tiger Bay and Broad Street battling Leopold Street before the main event.
The following Saturday, February 18, the games move over to the McKenize Sports Club Hard Court, Linden where Magic Stars face Good Fellas and Town Cars (Georgetown taxi drivers) take on Linden bus (Linden bus drivers).
Both Sparta Boss and Hustlers have strong fan bases and many are expected to throng the various venues to witness the action and support their favourites. The competition promises to be keen and fans are in for a treat.
