Dear Editor,
Please permit me a space to air my concern. I want to know if the overseer of the ROSIGNOL- ZEELUST NDC is above the board. The reason for this is because there are numerous complaints where people went to the office to make a report and the overseer’s responses are far from satisfactory.
We have a council that sits and makes decision to better develop our communities but it seem that these decisions are for Cotton Tree and No 2 villages only. I want to know what has happened to Rosignol; it appears that Rosignol has been sidelined. Is it because the NDC is controlled by the PPP that great disrespect is shown for the communities where non-PPP supporters are dominant. We were made to understand from a reliable source that Freedom House at Bath Settlement is making decisions for all controlled PPP/C NDCs.
The overseer shows little regard for the council. If the council makes a decision, the overseer has the power to stay its implementation. How can we have someone who is not even living in our NDC district make pertinent decisions for us? Furthermore, she was put there as an IMC OVERSEER. We are therefore calling for this woman to be removed immediately and let our community begin to develop. Why is it that projects for our community are given to friends of PPP people, when we have qualified contractors living within our NDC who are capable of carrying out these projects? Again, we are calling on the relevant authorities to look into these matters and we need an audit for our NDC because there are a lot of rumors of poor transactions taking place at the NDC office.
