On Sunday in Merida, Mexico Guyanese Calvin Ming continued his impressive showing from last year when he turned in an outstanding drive to win two races in the FIA NACAM F4 Championship.
Ming christened the reconstructed circuit with victory. He returned for the second event and according to an online post, he had to start from the back of the grid but stormed through to record his second victory of the day. He noted that the car was strong over the weekend and he was pleased with the work of his team.
However, in the final race he and his teammate suffered a mishap with disappointed the young Guyanese racer. He noted that he had slowed to get into formation on the grid but his teammate did not realise he had and crashed into him sending his car flying into the wall. It caught fire and both drivers were unable to start the race due to the extensive damage.
He was grateful that they were both ok and put the misfortune down to part of racing. He expressed thanks to Team Ram and all who aided in a successful outing last weekend.
