The police have managed to locate a car that was hijacked from 38-year-old Leroy Blair on Wednesday
when three armed bandits shot and robbed him at D’Urban Backlands, Georgetown.
The vehicle is currently at the Brickdam Police Station.
Blair is recovering at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC).
According to information received, Blair was shot by one of three bandits on motorcycles after they relieved him of an undisclosed sum of cash and his vehicle.
Reports are that the victim went to the location to drop off a passenger when he was confronted and shot. He was rushed to the GPHC by public spirited persons where he remains a patient.
The victim’s daughter, Cassie Blair, said that her father is recovering but is in pain.
Investigations are ongoing.
