Dear Editor,
On behalf of the senior citizens of Prospect, I wish to bring to the attention of the chairman of NDC for Herstelling, Little Diamond and Farm for your action to the poor condition of the bridge at Second Street. This bridge is used by all members of the community living in the western part of the village, among them senior citizens. The bridge is quickly deteriorating. Currently, one of the beams has sunk; there are gaps on the broken-down bridge that can result in severe injuries and raised nails are also visible. The chairman’s intervention would result in the construction or repairs to this bridge. It is our considered opinion that the new bridge should be built higher so that the main support structures are not easily submerged as is the case at the moment. Kindly use your paper’s influence in expediting this matter and thus prevent injuries to the senior citizens of Prospect.
