North Georgetown Primary school defeated Marian Academy by 21 runs when action in the Georgetown leg of the Guyana Cricket Board Scotiabank kiddy progression cricket continued recently at the National Resource Centre play field.
North Georgetown batted first and scored 127-3. Shiloh Adams slammed nine fours and two sixes in a top score of 67, while Naomi Barkoye hit 27. Marian Academy made 106-6 in reply. Kyle Chung cracked 58 with three fours and six sixes.
Smith Memorial beat St. Sidwell’s by three runs. Smith Memorial took first strike and scored 31-3 with Sharis Permaul getting 20; Ronaldo Haynes took 2-12. St. Sidwell’s were bowled out for 28 in reply. Titanna Caesar claimed 2-4.
Winfer Garden’s overcame St. Margaret’s. St. Margaret’s made 68-5 off 14 overs taking first knock, while Winfer Garden’s responded with 69-9 in 11.2 overs. Nityanand Mathura got 14.
F.E. Pollard got the better of J.E. Burnham by eight runs. Batting first, F.E Pollard and got to 85-7 with Shemar Smartt scoring 17 and Shaquane Favourite 12; De Shawn Oliveria took 2-5. J.E. Burnham managed 77 -7 in reply. Mario Allicock struck one four and four sixes in scoring 28.
Redeemer defeated Rama Krishna by 25 runs. Redeemer took first turn in the middle and scored 92-9. Shurton Millington made 27, while Miguel Alexander got 13. Rama Krishna were restricted for 67 in reply. De Andre and Keenan Tyrell made 14 and 11 respectively.
Bel Air beat Comenius Primary. Comenius got to 83-4, taking first knock with Antwon Simon scoring 58 and Alvin Beckles 10; Shania Smith took 2-7. Bel Air responded with 84-7. Jerome Adams and Shivanie Small made 18 each, while Kymani Missigher got 16. Akeela De Souza claimed 3-8. (Zaheer Mohamed)
