Dear Editor,
The Indian Action Committee (IAC) wishes to congratulate and commend President Granger for swearing in the members of the Public Procurement Commission (PPC) which he said he would do by the end of October 2016.
The IAC also wishes to congratulate the newly sworn-in members of the PPC: Ms. Carol Corbin, accountant; Ms. Emily Dodson, attorney-at-law; Mr. Ivor English, engineer; Dr. Nand Kishore Gopaul PhD, veteran trade unionist; and Mr. Sukrishnalall Pasha, University of Guyana lecturer.
The IAC wishes them well in their endeavours and hopes that a level playing field can be established in the field of competitive bidding for projects that are required to transform Guyana and deliver benefits to all of its citizens so that better living standards can be realized. The IAC is encouraged by this timely action and calls upon President Granger to restore the Ethnic Relations Commission which he said that he will do during this current sitting of Parliament.
