Five Haitian men are currently in police custody after they were nabbed at Wisroc Junction, Wismar, Linden, Friday night en route to Brazil.
They reportedly entered Guyana via the Suriname ‘Back Track’ in Springlands, Corentyne, Berbice.
On August 30, four Haitian men were fined $30,000 after they pleaded guilty to entering Guyana by sea and disembarking without the consent of an immigration officer.
The offence was committed on August 26, last, at Springlands, Corentyne, Berbice.
The quartet was arraigned before Magistrate Leron Daly in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts.
