A 74-year-old pensioner, Hedley Williams, of 74 Third Street, Montrose, East Coast Demerara is missing.
According to reports, the man and some relatives had journeyed to the Cheddi Jagan International
Airport (CJIA) on Sunday to uplift a family member who was coming in to the country.
According one of the man’s daughters, Rajkumarie Williams, the minibus which they had used to travel to the airport was parked adjacent to the facility. Her father remained in the vehicle.
Rajkumarie explained that her father is a diabetic which would result in him “losing himself” from time to time.
She added that after examining the Airports CCTV footage, they saw that Williams exited the vehicle and proceeded north where several stands are situated. He proceeded into that direction until he was out of the cameras’ range.
A report was subsequently made at the Timehri Police Outpost. Searches were also conducted in the area but to no avail.
The man was last seen wearing a pink plaid shirt, a grey pants and grey boots.
