Essequibo reached 8-1 after three overs before rain prevented further play at the Everest Cricket Club when the third round of the Guyana Cricket Board Jaguars three-day league commenced yesterday.
Batting after winning the toss against East Bank Demerara, Essequibo lost Kevon Boodie lbw to Ryan Shun for five in the second over of the day’s play. Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Avenash Persaud were on one each when a heavy shower sent the players off the field, leaving sections the outfield waterlogged. Play is expected to start at 09:30hrs today.
