The Guyana Table Tennis Association (GTTA) team selected to represent Guyana at the prestigious 2016 Caribbean Pre-Cadet Table Tennis Championships scheduled for August 21 -29 at the National Arena, Kingston, Jamaica
paid a courtesy call on Minister within the of Sport Nicolette Henry last Friday.
The Minister interacted with the youngsters and encouraged to do their best. The Caribbean Pre-Cadet Championships engages players between ages 11 and 13 years which represents the next generation of regional and international stars in the sport. The team is under the tutelage of Linden Johnson, Dwain Dick and Xenophon Goliath.
Competition will feature youngsters from Puerto Rico, Barbados, Aruba, Jamaica, St Lucia Trinidad and Tobago, Dominican Republic and French Guiana among others.
The team include: Boys: Dhanesh Persaud, Colin Wong, Krystian Sahadeo, Alexander DeAbreu, Kayson Ninvalle, Isaiah Layne, Niran Bissu and Veeshan Deo.
Girls: Nevaeh Clarkston, Abigale Martin and Thuraia Thomas.
