Jason Khalil, Victoria Arjoon cop plate titles; Veterans lose 0-5 to host team
Guyana ended the final day of the individual category of the Caribbean Squash Championships in Trinidad and Tobago with some moral victories.
With attention now turned to the team events, the Guyanese got off to a rocky start when its Veterans Team went down to the home team by a 0-5 match scoreline.
The Senior Ladies were scheduled to start their title defense against Bermuda yesterday. They are in a round-robin pool with Barbados, Bermuda and the host nation.
The Men’s team has been strengthened with the arrival of Alex Arjoon, Richard Chin and Kristian Jeffery.
Guyana have been placed in a pool with defending champions Jamaica and the Cayman Islands and begin their quest for glory tomorrow when they play Jamaica in the morning and then Cayman in the evening.
