Dear Editor,
It has happened in the annals of time [history] and there is nothing new under the sun. Man has walked the face of the earth for thousands of years, and we as human beings never seem to learn from the vast history/stories that make up human achievements or inhuman behavior.
The world is witnessing several events unfolding at the same time. We are unable to discern the future because we do not consider what went before [past]. On one hand there is massive destruction of lives through terrorists; while on the other hand there is likely, ascension to the highest public office in the United States of America by one of the most unlikely candidate vying for the Presidency —Donald Trump. The violence that is perpetrated on nations every week is not going to stop, even if Mr. Donald Trump wins the presidency.
The terrorist is operating under sinister, diabolical dark spiritual forces that this world is yet to come to grips with. Undoubtedly, Donald Trump IS UNCONVENTIONAL, UNORTHORDOX, yet in some ways unassuming and winning the hearts of the American populace with his flair, charm and charisma. The real Donald Trump wields power, not behind the background of knowledge coupled with wisdom, but with wealth, yes, insurmountable wealth that no other candidate can match or overcome.
Have you ever seen a Republican candidate arriving at a party convention in such an extravagant, aristocratic and high-class fashion [Jet PLANE]? This man is undoubtedly a Businessman with a capitol B and not a Politician as some people would expect running for President of the United States of America. EDITOR, I may be wrong, but in all my years, I have not witnessed such a show as Mr. Donald Trump puts on. He is a genius when it comes to impressing his hearers when he came up with the slogan ‘MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN’. For some Americans it just doesn’t matter if Donald Trump made his way to the top in business by wheeling and dealing or cheating; they just love the man.
This tells me that everything about Trump epitomizes the true American characteristics: riches, authority, pomp, strength, power, prominence and extreme wealth. Therefore, in the eyes of the average American, they are not mindful of his irrational rhetoric or his twisted tongue — money talks! This man’s persona represents the epiphany or image of what America should look like in the minds of the politically unlearned and simple minded in the U.S.A.
Some Americans reserve the right to change their minds as they see fit whether to vote Hilary or Donald and on that very premise, they may very well go for Donald Trump in the last week coming up to the elections in November 2016. My honest opinion is that Mr. Donald Trump is having a time of his life while his detractors/haters are having goose-bumps. And amidst all the scorn and taunts thrown at him, he will likely be the President of The United States of America.
For me there are some things that are ordained or predestinated by a higher power known only to God Almighty. We may ask the question: Why or how did Madura became President of oil rich Venezuela? Or how did Zimbabwe accept Mugabe for over four decades as President? Or how did Erodogan remain in power in Europe’s Turkey? Or closer home how did Donald Ramotar became President of Guyana? These men are regarded as anathema in their nations, as Trump is to America, but yet they received majority of votes and support in every instance.
The world we live in today is not the same as when we were born; rather the demographics and dynamics of life here on earth are not slowly changing at all; I dare say, things are happening at an extremely fast rate. Therefore after November the world that we call home, will, I anticipate will escalate in a direction that is reflective of the prophetic writings in the Holy Bible.
Men will become more evil, and will be accepted in societies across the world as approved leaders and will go on to make unrealistic demands and incomprehensible decisions that are beyond human understanding, thus creating hardships to their constituents with their imposing leadership model. The democratic systems of the world today will prepare nations, for the worst of human beings being elected as their Leader. Someone said, quote: ‘Some people don’t care how much you know, until and unless they know how much you care. Mr. Donald Trump cares for his business, family and self.
Apostle Vanrick Beresford [Senior)
Editor’s note. Mr. Beresford made a factual mistake. Mr. Ramotar did not win a majority. He got more votes than each individual party in the 2011 elections but did not receive the majority of total votes cast. Because of the peculiar nature of our constitution, there cannot be post-election coalition to form the government.
