The President, Executives and Members of the Guyana Association of Women Police (GAWP) is extending profound thanks and appreciation to all the sponsors, the members of the public and the various media houses in Guyana who contributed in one way or the other in making the recently held fund raising horserace meet held on Sunday 16th July at the Bush Lot United Turf Club, Sea View Park West Coast Berbice a success.
Leading the list of sponsors was Commander of the Police B Division Assistant Commissioner Ian Amsterdam.
Others include Beverage giants Bank DIH Limited, Trophy Stall Of Guyana, Nand Persaud and Company Limited, Inshan Bacchus Trucking Company, Attorney at Law Rajendra Poonai, Fazal Habibulla, Baijnauth Sawmills, Romell Jagroop and Company, Feroze Business Entity, Chris Jagdeo and Sons, Tropical Auto Company, Lenny Singh and Ghansham Singh and Company, Jumbo Jet, Peter Lewis Associated Construction, BM Soat, Sheriff racing Stable and Business Entity, P and P Insurance Brokers, Buddy Shivraj and Shano and Sons among others.
According to Coordinator, Inspector Cynthia Kelly, despite the inclement weather the activity was successful and incident free.
Among those in attendance were Senior Superintendent of Police and President of the GWPA Maxine Graham, Assistant Secretary Treasurer Natalie Barnwell and Treasurer Deputy Superintendent Grace Davis among other high ranking officers.
Kelly was assisted by Assistant Superintendent Harvey John and Sergeants Joanne Johnson and Tracy Benjamin Long.
The GWPA looks forward for continued patronage for their next event.
