The West Indies selectors have announced the players that will represent the President XI against the touring Indians at Warner Park in St. Kitts. Four Guyanese are selected in the squad, two have already played Test Cricket for the West Indies; skipper Leon Johnson and Rajendra Chandrika.
Statistician Charwayne Walker notes, So the million dollar question being asked by Guyanese cricket fans is whether the two other selectees Keon Joseph and Vishal Singh will emulate L.J. and Chandrika and donned the maroon at the highest level? Only time will tell.

Please note that Andre Percival was selected for the 1996 President XI against the Lee Germon led New Zealanders but was relegated to the 12 man in that match.
