The second edition of the Annual Petra Organisation-organised Soft Shoe Football Competition which is being sponsored by the Ministry of Health (MoH) under the ‘Stop Gender-based Violence’ theme will open tonight with six matches, at the Ministry of Health ground on Brickdam & Vlissingen Road.
The tournament’s start has had to be pushed back on several occasions due to the inclement weather, but the Organisers have determined that unless there is significant rainfall overnight and today, teams should make themselves present for a prompt start tonight.
Among the teams expected to appear this evenig is defending champion Sparta Boss who is expected to take on California Square in the final encounter.

19:00 hrs Old School Ballers versus Cross Street of Werk-en-Rust
19:45 hrs Queen Street OF Tiger Bay tackles Broad Street
20:30 hrs Sophia go up against Hope Street of Tiger Bay

21:00 hrs Channel 9 battles Globe Yard
21:45 hrs Bent Street engages Stevedore Housing Scheme
22:30 hrs Sparta Boss square off against California Square
Meanwhile, the other sponsors on board include: Busta, GTT, Lucky Dollar, Juniors Jewellery (Highest Goal Scorer), 2J’s General Store (MVP), Star Party Rentals and Nigel Super Market.
The winning team will receive $300,000, runner-up $200,000, 3rd place $100,000 and 4th place $50,000.
