ST JOHN’S, Antigua – The West Indies Selection Panel yesterday named the 14-man squad for the first four matches of the upcoming Tri Nation One-Day International Series.
The squad includes two players who are yet to play in ODIs for the West Indies. These are: off-spinner Ashley Nurse, who was a member of the West Indies team which won the ICC World T20 last month; and fast bowler Shannon Gabriel, who has played 16 Test matches.
The Tri Series will feature West Indies, South Africa and Australia and all matches will be day/night. The series starts in at the Guyana National Stadium (June 3-7), then moves to Warner Park, St Kitts (June 11-15); and concludes at Kensington Oval, Barbados (June 19-26).
FULL SQUAD Jason Holder (Captain), Sulieman Benn, Carlos Brathwaite, Darren Bravo, Jonathan Carter, Johnson Charles, Andre Fletcher, Shannon Gabriel, Sunil Narine, Ashley Nurse, Kieron Pollard, Denesh Ramdin, Marlon Samuels and Jerome Taylor.
