In preparation for the 50th Jubilee Anniversary T20 competition, the Berbice Jubilee Titans, which is made up of players from the Upper Corentyne and Port Mourant areas, has named their 13-man squad that is expected to participate in this grand event.
Two trial matches were held and supervised by Chairman of Selectors, Mr. D. Somwaru, and training has commenced. The 13 man squad reads: Chandrapaul Hemraj (Captain) Troy Gonsalves, Andy Mohan, Arif Chan (Vice Captain) Totaram Rajaram, Omesh Mathura, Avishkar Sewkarran, Tagenarine Chanderpaul, Shurfene Rutherford, Demetri Cameron, Yudendra Harrinarine, Parmeshwar Chatterrpaul and Samuel Kishnasammy. The Team’s coach is Michael Franco Hyles.
Training sessions will be held on 18th and 19th at the Port Mourant Community Center.
The game is slated to be played on Saturday May 21st at The Albion Community Centre ground. The other teams expected to participate are the Rose Hall Town/ Albion-Victoria Royals, Canje Pheasant- New Amsterdam/Canje and the West Berbice Jaguars.
Match time is 09:00hrs.
The competition is expected to be a fierce one, and the Titans will rely on their young, aggressive players to take them forward.
