The loss of Tony Cozier is massive in my opinion, he was the best cricket journalist ever I know of, no one who
was equally brilliant in writing radio and television commentaries. Cozier impacted me greatly and his advice was simple, be balanced and remember to call the score as often as possible as every minute you have a new listener.
I am happy to have been part of his last radio cricket broadcast; it was in the Nagico Cup 2015 in Trinidad. It’s something I will always cherish. My biggest disappointment was that he was never knighted in Barbados he deserved it.
I hope the Caribbean gives Tony Cozier a tremendous send off, there is no one more deserving, May he rest in peace.
