When play in the STAG / WDFA Senior League continued last weekend at the Den Amstel
Community Centre ground, all four matches ended in positive results for Den Amstel, Uitvlugt Warriors, Pouderoyen and Young Achievers.
Den Amstel got the better of Stewartville 3-1 thanks to goals from Gavin Graham who scored a double (13, 23) and Travis Hilliman in the 77th minute. Shelton Forde scored Stewartville’s consolation in the 37th minute.
Uitvlugt made light work of Eagles clipping their wings to win 4-1. For Uitvlugt, Kevin Duke was on target in the 14th minute, Jermaine Accra (43rd), Kevis Fraser in the 48th and Keon Duke in the 67th minute were the goal scorers. Tucking one in for Eagles was Alkebu in the 15th minute.
On Saturday, Pouderoyen hammered debutants Vegae Boys 9-2. Leading the goal party were Morgan Denny (9th, 25th, 40th) and Troy Allicock (20th, 22nd, 38th) with a hat-trick each. Quacey Alleyne scored twice (30th, 43rd) with the other coming off the boot of Dwayne St. Kitts in the 27th minute.
The weekend commenced with Young Achievers blanking Jetty Gunners 3-0. Lloyd Prince fired in a double (15th, 62nd) while Stephan Jupiter put the icing on the cake in the 66th minute.
