Despite fierce objection by several members of the National Air Transport Association (NATA) regarding the rebranding of the Ogle International Airport, the renaming ceremony is scheduled to take place on Monday.
Earlier this week, President of NATA, Annette Arjoon-Martins, along with several representatives of the Association issued a call to President David Granger, to withdraw his proposal to have the airport renamed to, Eugene F. Correia International Airport.
A media invite was sent to this publication which stated that the President will be renaming the facility at a ceremony scheduled for Monday.
With the Chairman of the Board at Ogle International being Michael Correia, NATA as well as the Private Sector Commission (PSC) is of the opinion that the rebranding will lead to an unlevel competitive playing field because Michael Correia, is supposedly a relative of Eugene F. Correia.
