The Jumbo Jet Business along with Banks DIH Limited and Trophy Stall among others
has been contributing in a significant way in a number of ventures in Guyana’s development. Be it education, sports, culture, youth community or social activities among others second only to the Government of Guyana.
Since its entry into the horseracing arena the company has been making significant investments in the field of horseracing with sponsorship of over $40M annually. Among the major investments are Organizing three major activities annual including the Guyana Cup, The Guyana Cup fever and The Guyana Cup Rematch and a few other events. The event on Sunday in collaboration with the Bush Lot United Turf Club with investment of over $4M was almost single handily sponsored by the Jumbo Jet with some assistance from Beverage giants Banks DIH, Trophy stall and Inshan Bacchus Trucking Service.
Despite the Jumbo jet stable won four of the five events with a few other placings staged in the wet and soggy conditions, organizer and owner Nazrudeen Mohammed Jr expressed his disappointment in the entries and turn out. He is expressing his desire for more support and corporation for horseracing in Guyana.

The event for West Indies bred three year olds that never earned and Guyana bred horses was taken by Isn’t She Charming of the Jumbo Jet stable with Randolph Richmond in control ahead of She is in Control and happy Run.
She So Special of the Jumbo Jet stable with Richmond in stirrups was in winner’s row in the H2 and lower race ahead of Liquid Lion, Mary Ann and Fresh Again. Amazon Warrior also of the Jumbo Jet stable ridden by Trinidadian Jockey Padmore started things off nicely for the entity by winning the L1 and lower event from Confusion, Mystery man and Blue Lightning.
Massiquita Dr owned and Trained by Selso Crawford and ridden by Ajai continued its winning ways by riding away with the J and K class event from Little, Affinity and Red Region.
The Jumbo Jet stable was adjudged the champion stable for their four wins in the five races staged. Trainer Nazrudeen Mohammed Junior was the top trainer with Jockey Randolph Richmond the champion jockey. They received trophies compliments of Ramesh Sunich, Managing Director of the Trophy Stall.
The police under women Sergeants Cynthia Kelly and Joanne Johnson were commended for their good performance in maintaining control and order during the event. (Samuel Whyte)
