In our Thursday Edition, the Kaieteur News erroneously cited the ‘A’ Divisional Commander, Clifton Hicken as saying that there was a 26 percent decrease in serious crimes from “Saturday to present”.
In fact, what the commander said was, Guyana is currently experiencing a minus 26 % in serious crimes in Division ‘A’ from January unto last Saturday in comparison to the same period last year. Kaieteur News wishes to apologize for the inconvenience caused.
