2016 Tenelec Inc Under-15, Two-innings Cricket Competition in Berbice …
National Under-15 selectees all-rounders Seon Glasgow Jnr and Nigel Deodat dominated D’Edward
Under-15 team in the latest match of the 2016 Tenelec Inc Under-15, Two-innings Cricket Competition organised by the Berbice Cricket Board and sponsored by Tenelec Inc. a Washington DC based Telecommunication Firm. They got support from another national selectee Marvan Prashad to beat the hapless opponents by an innings and 161 runs.
Playing at former first class venue Blairmont Estate Cricket Ground, the visitors were shot out for 78 in their first innings. Only H. Heeralall with 33 offered resistance. Deodat spun webs around the batsmen taking 5 for 15 off 8 overs. He got support from Prashad with 4 for 18 off 4 overs.
In reply, Blairmont CC made 258 for 4 declared. Glasgow Jnr scored a magnificent century, 101 and got support from Fawaz Gaffoor with an even 50, Marvan Prashad 36 and Deodat 28 n o.
In their second turn at the crease, D’Edward feared worse scoring an embarrassing 19 all out. Deodat was the wrecker with 5 wickets for 5 runs off 6 overs. Prashad supported with 4 for 6 off 5.
