The Georgetown Tapeball Cricket Academy will stage three days of Tapeball cricket for schoolboys as part of their Golden Jubilee celebrations.
The six-over cricket games will be spread over three day commencing on Saturday April 30 continuing on Sunday May 1 with the semis and concluding with the Final on May 2 which is a National Holiday. All matches will be played on the National Culture Centre (NCC).
The competition is open to schoolboy teams in Demerara and there is no entrance fee but team captains must contact the Organizers on telephone numbers 613-0844 or 666-5857.
According to one of the three Organizers, Colin Jacobs, teams will play for a different trophy each day. On day one the teams will compete for Goodwood Racing Service Trophy, while semi-final action will be contested for the E-Networks. On the final teams will battle for the P&P Insurance and Trophy Stall trophies.
