Guyanese Staffanie Rodney and Akaze Thompson helped Hisbicus into second place as the
Trinidad and Tobago female 50-over tournament concluded recently.
Thompson took 2-31 from 10 overs as Phoenix were sent packing for 152, batting first. Reniece Boyce made 49, Melanie Henry 17; Suki Isaac 3-21. Hibiscus made 154-5 in reply. Rachel Vincent struck 80 and Shanice Pascal 28.
Hibiscus went down to Mossia who batted first and made 157 all out with Amanda Samaroo scoring 31, Kirbyina Alexander 21; Thompson snared 3-31 and Steffanie Rodney 2-11. Hibiscus responded with 151 all out. Rodney stroked 39 and Thompson 24; Kamara Rasoobar claimed 3-29 and Kirbyina Alexander 2-52.
Hibiscus beat Cricket Lovers by four wickets. Cricket Lovers managed 113-8. Thompson captured 3-27, Shaince Pascal -36. Hibiscus replied with 114-6 in 32 overs. Caneisha Suki got 40 not out and Rachel Vincent.
