Esaun Crandon struck a fine half century as Paradise defeated Lusignan East by 46 runs when the East
Coast Cricket Committee T20 tournament commenced on Sunday.
In a game which was reduced to five overs, Paradise batted first and made 72 without loss with Crandon smashing 64. Host Lusignan East replied with 26-6. Nickoayre Bacchus claimed 3-3 and Jermaine Martin 2-3.
At Enmore, RAS Cavaliers overcame MSC by nine wickets. Batting first, MSC made 77-5 with Shaliendra Singh scoring 17; Michael Cummings had 2-7. RAS Cavaliers responded with 75-1 in five overs. Darshan Persaud hit an unbeaten 27 and Steven Chan 24 not out.
At Enterprise, the host A team beat Golden Masters by 118 runs. Enterprise A took first knock and rattled up 215-6. Rajendra Chandrika got 58 (3×4,4×6) while Parmanand Dindyal made 23; Quacy Cummings 2-38.
Golden Masters were sent packing for 87. E. Ferdinand made 23 as A. Kishore and Chatterpaul Singh picked up two wickets apiece.
At Strathavon got pass Lusignan B by 57 runs. Strathavon scored 104 all out, taking first knock. Gajanand Suknanan slammed 56 and Zaki Salim 16; G. Persaud had 2-6. Lusignan B made 47 all out in reply. Suknanan snared 4-6 and Jermaine Tyndell 4-10.
At Fairfield, the home team overcame Enterprise B by eight runs. Fairfield took first strike and managed 139-7. Wasim Mustapha stroked 51 and Leon Targoonchandra hit 38 and Richard Chatura 23; N. Ulla and D. Persaud and S. Ramkumar took two wickets each. Enterprise B got to 131-7. N. Ulla made 35, L. Dindyal 27 and D. Persaud 22; Motelall Chatura picked up 3-27.
